<dif:Summary>Downward-looking radiometers have been installed on July 2016 to collect the upward component of the SW and LW irradiances. Eppley PSP pyranometer and PIR pyrgeometer are located about 100 m West of THAAO on a metal frame at about 2.3 m agl. Electronic levels monitor any possible deviation from the horizontal in the North-South and Est-West directions. See https://www.thuleatmos-it.it/instruments/radiometers for additional details.
Radiometers are not ventilated. Data are recorded and uploaded with a 30-second time step. Regular calibrations allow our team to monitor changes of the sensitivity with time. Quality checks are perfomed based on tests recommended for sensors enrolled in the Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN).</dif:Summary>
