The Aeolian instrumental catalogue collects local earthquakes recorded by the stations belonging to the Permanent Seismic Network run by Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia-Osservatorio Etneo (INGV-OE) from January 1, 2020. The earthquakes are localized by an expert scientific staff of analysts working in the seismological division of the INGV-OE which daily recognizes and analyses the seismic events by using several purpose-written softwares. Hypocentral parameters are obtained by using Hypoellipse 2.0 program (Lahr, 1989). The velocity model adopted was obtained by combining the Jeffrey-Bullen (1958) model, for depths greater than 4 km, with Ventura et al. (1999) over 4 km. Each earthquake, and the provided parameters, are stored within a database consisting of a plurality of fields which can be interrogated according to the user requirements. The optimal coverage and the density of the seismic network, as well as the high quality of the collected data, ensure a good detection performance and an accurate hypocentral parameters estimation for the Aeolian volcanic area. In order to make available to the scientific community a reliable product, the hypocentral locations satisfy high scientific criteria which are agreed upon and shared by the staff. Moreover, the permanent seismic network configuration, also integrated by the stations belonging to the seismic mobile network, allows the determination of the focal mechanisms with the standard FPFIT algorithm (Reasenberg and Oppenheimer, 1985).
